10-hour stopover in AMM
 

Flying AUH-AMM-TLV on RJ in J with a 10-hour stopover.
What are my options in AMM?
Will this itinerary qualify me for the transit hotel?
I've never been to Amman before and would like to see it. Is there someplace I can store my bags so I don't have to bring them with me?

Blumie, I have done similar itinerary over the years many times and really enjoy Amman as a quieter vibe (compared to many other cities in the region) with much more of an authentic Arabic feel than the UAE (my personal experiences of course).

While I cant answer about the baggage storage or free hotel as I have always just gotten a hotel room myself (e.g. booked the previous night/late checkout etc). If you do have a plethora of IHG points or want to spend the cash I think the Intercontinental Amman for a day stay is extremely well located to areas like the Citadel or some nice streets and cafes that are an easy walk.

Would you want to rent a car for the day or just use taxis?

I dont think its needed per se but I have also used the VIP service through the airport which makes arrivals and departures an absolute breeze and is reasonably priced for what is offered. I really dislike spending more than an hour in the RJ lounge as I find it pretty poor so I arrive pretty close to flights when departing Amman.
