Oman air transit security Muscat

Hi Now the new airport has been open for a while how is the transit security ? I will be traveling Business so is the fast track working and quick, or is it a bag fight to get through. If still bad, as my wife has to walk with a stick is it worth getting assistance to speed up the process. LHR-BKK arriving around 8pm if that helps. Thanks in advance.

Itís great, iíve never seen it more that 4-5 people queuing for the business lane.

I have seen it where there is no business lane or no-one is following the system in which case waving your boarding pass at someone in uniform will get you escorted to the front of the queue.

Should be a breeze at 8 pm as it's not peak time and there is a seperate queue for J so it's quite quick to get through

It turned out to be an absolute breeze. We arrived at 10:30 for a 2:25 flight (WY0101 to LHR), straight to the Business check in, a queue of one, swift process and straight to emigration and security, all taking less than 5 minutes.

The airport is stunning and the lounge a joy to be in.

Our only gripe was the outrageous prices for both alcohol and goods in the Duty Free area, being possibly the most expensive I have seen.
