Oman air upgrades - optiontown - any experience on price?

Hi all!
Saw that in Nov 2016 oman air introduced upgrades via option town.

Anyone had any experience? Any reference prices charged?

Thanks!

Just bought a MCT CDG for 410 USD, proposed price range 390 USD to 480 USD with related probability of success.
The returne leg - night fligh - was starting at 780 USD though.

For ZRH MCT (6:25 hrs, night), the price range is $390-490.
Placed a bid for the minimum, will see in some weeks (outbound is on 3/5/17) whether it works or not.

Interesting is, that the upgrade price for the day flight MCT ZRH is the same.

Going Europe to/from Asia there's no way I'd bid on those, just watch for J sales WY has frequently as well as a few city pairs MNL-NCL, MXP-BKI on expedia.com

Optiontown only makes sense when you're flying solely Europe/Asia - MCT where they charge premiums for those flights.

The price for DXB-MCT is $65, MCT-SLL is $65 and SLL-DXB is $65. The Oman air/Optiontown web page quoted the price rather than some airline websites where you bid and are told how likely you are of receiving the upgrade.
Not sure how much chance there is of receiving the upgrade on these short flights.
