I need to go to DOH for work. The current Saudi Airlines sale will allow me to purchase a ticket from IAD-JED for 1720. Booking all the way through to DOH raises it to 2500+ for my travel days. I noticed that I can buy a separate RT from JED-DOH for 150 for my travel days. With no transit visa, is this asking for trouble when I arrive in JED with an itinerary on two separate tickets?

Edited to add: will only have carry on bags.
