Transisting in Kuwait
Hi,
I am trying to find an answer on this, but am not able to find a clear one anywhere on the web. I will be doing a quick turnaround with Turkish (an MR), I will be arriving and departing on the same plane (2 hours ground time). I read on a travel forum that there is a transit desk, but just want to confirm and also if it easy to find. I believe in this situation I do not need any sort of on-arrival visa. Cheers! |
It is.
But try to check in online. KWI has security at the gate, it is at the same level, like in SIN. You should be fine. Visa is only needed if you would like to pass through Immigration. |

All, thanks for the replies. Did help to prepare me for the transit.
Just to reconfirm: Did the run last weekend with TK, and as other posters mentioned it is a very simple process. Everything is within the same floor. [Even Visa on Arrival- around the corner from the duty free shop.] In my experience, I don't think that there are so many people doing MR to KWI, so when I approached the transit desk, I was immediately recognized by the agent. Boarding passes provided without any further questions (except small talk on why I am doing this). As a *G member, access to the Pearl lounge was given. Lounge is ok, it opens at 6 am, but you will have to wait about 1/2 hour before setup is complete. For those interested, lounge is OK. Big with big comfy chairs. Food is not too bad. Shower facilities are available, but looking at the cleanliness, I would not use them unless really needed (the one I saw had lots of hair in the drainage). All in all, an easy experience. Hope this info will help others in future when transiting at KWI. |

Are you doing an MR or KWI for *G and thus a lounge access in US?
Cheers! |
