Ethiopian Airlines - flight connections question
Hello,
I have a flight out of JRO at 18 15 to Addis arriving there at 20 30. Connection to Mumbai at 21 20PM. Am i cutting it too close? What if there is a short delay, would they hold the flight?
Thanks in advance!!!

Hugely variable depending on aircraft type. And aircraft type is the luck of the draw.
For example, I am flying from Mumbai to Addis tomorrow night. When I booked the flight, it was supposed to be a 787. Then it was swapped to a 77L. Then to a 763. Now that OLCI is open, it is a 757.
The 787 and 777 are an international standard experience. The 767 can range from tolerable to downright awful, depending which specific airframe operates the flight. The 757s are wonderful throwbacks to how flying was in the 1980s.

Just back from the trip. ET overall ....... the service was very good. The crew go out of their way to make the trip comfortable - ample food and drink. Very warm service....
Mumbai flight has a really antique aircraft with bad seats. Overall, the shortest way to get from JRO to Mumbai.
Transfer was a breeze in ADD ....... JRO to ADD was one of my best flights within Africa. Overall, impressed by ET ........

Nice to hear. I have my first upcoming ET flights later this year.
BOM-ADD-DAR (not sure what will happen to my BOM-ADD flight now that the 787 is offline)
ZNZ-ADD-JNB
JNB-ADD-HKG
Though I have a longish connection for all of them, so I might get a little fed up with ADD by the last one.

We eventually touched down at 2105 and were on the bus at our remote stand at 2116. We got to the terminal at 2119. Before we entered the building, all of us in transit to Mumbai (7 passengers total) were grabbed and shuffled in reverse up the arrivals level jetway directly onto the Mumbai flight, bypassing transit security check and everything else. My boarding pass stub was torn and collected at my seat. I was on board by 2125 and we pushed back at 2130, arriving in Mumbai exactly on schedule.
So yes, they do hold the Mumbai flight a few minutes and do whatever it takes to connect as many passengers as possible.
