Le Meridien Budapest, Hungary

I'm also planning a trip to Budapest, Hungary in November. I found "Le Meridien Budapest" hotel which seems to be very nice. Information about the quality of this hotel and the service would be appreciated. Or is there a better hotel to stay in ? Thanks in advance !

For further reference, here is a brief report if someone is interested ;

Le Meridien Budapest is a nice hotel located in the city centre of Budapest near the Kempinski Corvinus. It’s a member of the LHW. That’s a beautiful historical building. The rooms are well equipped, but are not very large even the Deluxe rooms. There is a small swimming pool and a Jacuzzi. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The prices in the restaurant “Le Bourbon” are very reasonable (average price of 13 EUR for a main plate and 5-8 EUR for an entry)) and they provide an attractive “a la carte” offer. They organise some special dinner buffet in the end of the week (Hungarian buffet, Sea food evening, “Chocoholic night” with a lot of chocolate specialities.) However, the buffet breakfast is too expensive (22 EUR p. pers.), and you can have a nice breakfast for at least half of the price at the “Gerbeau” a famous tea-room in Budapest which is located in a nice place at about 150 meters of the hotel. I will certainly stay again at that hotel in my next Budapest trip.

I've been to Budapest 3 times. Le Meriden is near downtown but not really "near" anything else downtown.

I would recommend the Hilton Budapest (Castle area), InterContinental or the Marriott..in that order.
