Kimpton Inner Circle Feb 2015 Renege
 

Originally when I had my status match in an email and on my card it said that I had inner circle until Feb 2015. However, I just received word that even though the email that was sent to me stated I had IC until Feb 2015, I actually had it until Jan 1 2015...

The funny part was that I talked to the same exact person that gave me IC until Feb 2015.

I am surprised that Kimpton would say one thing and do another.....

I'm supposed to have it until 2/2016! I got bumped to level 3. I think this is just a bug. I plan on emailing them. I do think that with Karma, we probably will be get bumped on 1-1 now so effectively we do lose out some time. I'll be happy just having IC until 2016 at least like they promised. I plan on emailing Ian and copying Susan or another Kimpton member who posts here.

I called and they told me that even though the email stated 2/2015, it was actually good until January 1, 2015. I like how they did it in a stealth manner until I booked a room and notice that I was not inner circle anymore.

When i called, I spoke to the same person who gave me the 2/2015 date. I was told that they made a decision in the summer when they rolled out the new rewards system that they would not honor the old date. I wish that they would just keep their word....

Does anyone know if you can be status matched to IC more than once in a lifetime?

There seems to be a bunch of confusion on the status match. Regarding the comment that someone believed they had a match to February 2016 - seems unlikely since you got the match in 2014, and most matches go less than a year.

For the others, I experienced the same frustration; however, I noted that my account seemed to have been downgraded in December 2014, so I inquired, especially since I had mattress runs scheduled the first week of 2015. Luckily for me, this "early" downgrade from IC was reversed and seems to have stuck when 2015 started. I have been treated as IC for my stays so far. Who knows if this will last?
