Check In: Check in went fine. They identified Karma membership but not IC status.

Amenities: None provided

Bar/Food: The food was great here. The service was a little dodgy.

Local Area: I enjoy the area. Good for a conference at the convention center or a game at the arena.

Room: Quite possibly the smallest room I've ever been in (as measured by square footage - the ceilings are so high, the volume is enormous). The double bed did not impress me (really?). Online it appears everything is Queen/King - as was my reservation. I didn't have the energy to deal with it at that point.

Check out: Meh - I was happy to leave at this point. The Helix was wonderful.

Bottom line: If this was my first Kimpton experience I wouldn't return to the brand. It's a shame, as I've been to many of their properties and have always had a great stay - this is now the one exception.

I've been to the Monaco a couple times including for Kimpton Crave and my experiences have been great. Upgrades to big suites and a great staff.

Sorry to hear your stay sort of sucked :(.
