Kimpton secret password thread

Helix- free parking
Palomar DC- said the password, the agent acknowledged it, but nothing came of it. Didn't care to ask again and ended up with a nice suite anyway, so no big deal.

Was offered a movie or an "extra amenity". Opted for the latter and they sent up a bottle of sparkling wine and a small box of chocolates.

Tomo SF: nothing. They desk people did not seem to know what it was . When I pressed them, they said "Oh, well, we upgraded your room." But they had already done that (and being upgraded there is minor thing to start with).

Was asked to pick a number from 1 to 10. My number yielded free parking. But since I had no car, I got a $25 dining credit instead.

Palomar LA

Was told corp code already discounted parking to $15/night. Offered a $10 parking credit.

Upon check out, was told by a rude front desk "asst. manager" that the parking credit was only $10 off one night's parking. I stayed 3 nights. The person who checked me in certainly didn't make this clear, and I've never heard of simply discounting one night, especially since my parking was already lower than the published rate.

My 2 experiences with Palomar LA matches yours - attitude mixed with (feigned?) confusion. Very un-Kimpton like.

I checked into Vero Beach last night and was told the secret word expired end of December. I think that I might bring it up again when I check out.

I would. It should be valid until March 4, according to jewels421's post telling us about it.
