Kimpton InTouch & Inner Circle question

Mr. Kipper is hoping to stay at a Kimpton when attending a conference later this year. Due to the location (within driving distance) and since the kibblers can stay there, I was pondering driving out and staying with him, just for a nice little break. For reimbursement purposes, the folio would need to be in his name. However, I'm the one with Inner Circle status. Any chance that since I'd be with him, we could use my status, and I could receive credit for the stay, but have only his name appear on the folio?

I will definitely do that once his travel plans are finalized! :) Thank you!

I, too, would be interested to know in the status match. Does it include immediate benefits like free nights at new properties? or is there a challenge one must complete first?

The status match doesn't get you much other than the welcome amenity and such. To earn a free night, you still need to meet the stay criteria.

Yes, but part of their top elite level is that you earn a free night at any newly opened Kimpton that year no matter what your current number of stays for the year. That is the benefit I am asking about...

I used one and didn't have that many stays. It's worth a try to ask about it.

This perk was just mentioned on a popular blog, so there is likely to be a flurry
of status match requests. Hope this doesn't result in the disappearance of this perk...

Sadly, it probably will... I can see it now: Lots of people request a status match, have no stays, other than the free one, and Kimpton pulls the plug on the perk.

Kimpton seems to do an excellent job, for the most part, on running their analytics correctly. They reward those who are actually LOYAL with other perks and those who aren't may receive one or two things but not the whole "basket" that keeps us who love Kimptons really loyal.

I agree.
