I only ever stayed in one of their affiliated properties (the excellent AKA Resort Hua Hin) and was upgraded by the old program standards...I reckon it's a pretty cool program and their hotels, though usually pricey are definitely worth a look.

I gotta say that I saved quite a lot of money this year through this program just through the free breakfast on Loved status. Just stayed for 2 nights in the Dylan in Amsterdam - Breakfast would have been 28 Euro per person per day which came free with my Loved status so 112 Euros saved. And to maintain the Loved status you only need one stay per year.

Have a 5 night stay at a SLH planned for year end. Changed a booking in November to stay at a SLH property (it was a wash regarding costs), and should get free breakfast on the latter trip!

Also, the new Guaranteed lowest price feature means I can book, then see if there is a lower price out there......
