Vueling / Aerclub # for avios.com login, and future transfer to BAEC

hi, i am stuck in the avios.com spiderweb.

i will be buying a couple of vueling flights . i hope to transfer the avios points earned on these flights to BAEC in future. in order to do that, i need to make sure i credit the vueling flight's avios points to the correct program

1. can i use my aer lingus aer club # (308147xxxxxxxx) as the number to collect flown vueling flight's avios? if yes, i will enter this number when booking vueling flights on vueling.com? 'at present, the username associated with my aer lingus aer club # (308147xxxxxxxx) is what i am using now to login into avios.com, and this account is linked to my BA and IB accounts

2. however, i had also separately created a vueling club account $ (also start with 308147xxxxxxxx), before i knew any better. now it causes me a lot of confusion, bc when i use this vueling club account # to login into avios.com, i cannot get pass the page that asks me for profile information (dob, address, etc). this makes me think i have created a duplicate profile. so i should abandon this account?

i appreciate any clarity from someone who has experience with this, thank you!

If you used the same email address for your Aer Club and Vueling Club accounts, you are basically screwed.

You can try crediting your upcoming flights to AerClub using that number. But something tells me that your Avios will end up in that Vueling Club account, but will be lost in the ether as Avios.com can't deal with people holding both accounts under the same email address.

FWIW I have not received a single Avios from Vueling flights in months and months. They are never quite enough to be worth my time chasing. But I'm pretty sure it's because of the duplicate accounts.

nightmare. I was hoping you didnt say the first paragraph.

I was ask to email [email protected] to resolve this issue. initially I was planning to just abandon the Vueling account. but I think now I will have to 1) delete the Vueling account , or 2) email [email protected] to ask for merging. have you ever tried 2)?

I don't know if I can help on the specific issue and if it is now solved, but I had some issues with some VY tickets. I wanted to credit them to IB+, but if it is ticketed from BA inventory then IB doesn't accept it : no Avios or status points. What I did was to create a Vueling account and link that to avios.com. All my Vueling flights show up in Avios.com automatically, and I have the option to combine my Avios and transfer from there to BAEC or IB+. I have the same e-mail on Vueling Club and on Avios.com (I use email to log in in both, not numbers) – however I created the Vueling account first (in case that makes any difference).
