Iceland Air - Itenerary & General IS Question
Two questions about an upcoming Iceland Trip:
1. My return flight is from KEF to JFK, at 8:15pm, on Sunday, July 26th. That evening, Iceland's schedule to NYC looks like:
- 8:15pm, KEF-JFK (my flight)
- 5:00pm, KEF-JFK
- 5:00pm, KEF-EWR
Does anyone have a sense of which flight they will keep based on knowledge of how they operate? At all costs, I want to avoid being forced to EWR vs JFK...
2. My family and I are doing the 10-day circuit around Iceland (clockwise from KEF). We will be on our own, in a rental car, most of the time. If restaurants aren't broadly open, what do we do? Are there Iceland's equivalent of 7-11s on the road where we get food, or are we going to need to go to a grocery store and make our own meals for 10 days...?

Iceland will open up on 6/15, at least that is their plan as of today.

No quarantine if you pass the covid-19 test upon arrival in KEF.

Nationals of EU/EEA/CH/UK have always been able to enter Schengen from outside, throughout the entire period of the entry ban.
If and whether flights are operating to certain parts of the Schengen zone is, of course, another matter; but the current entry ban does not apply to EU/EEA/CH/UK nationals at all.
(This does not mean that any such passengers being admitted to the Schengen zone are not subject to further controls/requirements, such as self-isolation depending on the origin of their travel)
