You are kidding right, I highly doubt there are 6 million loyal customers there?

Anyway, could we all please get back on point re the blocked web site? If members want to discuss economy and marketing Europe vs. Asia please go start a new thread. The 'use a travel agency' is so far the best half decent comment made so far.

Data point:

their web site is also blocked in HKG...

If they did the same in Thailand & India it may explain why they ceased the BKK/DEL/BOM routes a few weeks after they launched them... Link: https://onemileatatime.com/air-italy...india-flights/

Interesting point...

On their website they list an agency in Thailand, giving the impression they are marketing there (or at least were in the past).

Also to note, they continue to offer code share flights to some Asian destinations (Qatar Airways as an operating airline).

And everyone but you highly doubt there are 6 million “potential customers” in a location that is more than 2,000 miles away from their closest destination.
Other than honeymoon flights to the Maldives, Air Italy couldn’t care less about Asia. To think that they actually care about Singaporeans being able to book flights on their website is preposterous.
if Air Italy has 3,000 items on their to-do list, enabling website access in Singapore is probably somewhere around position 2,800 on the list.

If you found out that someone in Mongolia can’t access the Condor website and instead had to book through a travel agency, would that make you equally upset?

Anyone from China or India want to try the site and report back?

Perhaps the website is not 'broken' and is intended to work as is?

Interesting strategy indeed.

Completely agree with that statement, they obviously don't care. Now reported to include ID and HK.

Away from their IT systems for a second, their strategy does seems to indicate they do care about Asia (or at least they did).

Thanks for the useful advice. Unfortunately my provider doesn't have any links there.
