CS-TKR has been servicing KEF-CPH for the past week
Looks like CS-TKS is joining FI today

They seem to be using them primarily on London, Copenhagen and Paris when I last checked. Perhaps they are not putting them on North America routes due to the horrible economy class seating ... although the first flight of the leased 767 was to Orlando!

This is supposed to be the leased 767 https://www.euroatlantic.pt/wp-conte...kr_tks_tkt.pdf
Mine has also changed to the same 767 ex-YYZ for early July.

There is still a second flight on that day scheduled with 73M. I wonder when they ll get rid of that. Will they consolidate into a single flight, or will they replace the plane for the 2nd flight...

Slightly OT but I thought this was interesting in the light of the max situation:

Icelandair also has their own 763 in normal configuration. I would not assume these are the additional leased ones.

See https://www.routesonline.com/news/38...ration-in-s19/

Icelandair in recent schedule update filed leased Boeing 767 operation, with aircraft code 763, configuration C16Y246. The leased aircraft will join existing 767 aircraft with aircraft 76W (configuration C25Y237), from 18APR19 to 15SEP19.

The following is leased Boeing 767 (763) operation for summer 2019 season, as of 21APR19.

Reykjavik Keflavik – Amsterdam eff 03MAY19 1 weekly (1 daily from 15MAY19; Overall 2 daily 767 to AMS)
Reykjavik Keflavik – Billund One-time service scheduled on 03MAY19
Reykjavik Keflavik – Boston eff 15SEP19 1 daily (Except selected dates; Overall 2 daily 767 to BOS)
Reykjavik Keflavik – Copenhagen eff 18APR19 Various frequencies
Reykjavik Keflavik – Frankfurt One-time service scheduled on 13MAY19
Reykjavik Keflavik – Oslo One-time service scheduled on 09MAY19
Reykjavik Keflavik – Paris CDG eff 21APR19 1 weekly (2 weekly from 24MAY19, 3 weekly from 04JUN19; Overall up to 8 weekly with 767 to CDG)
Reykjavik Keflavik – Toronto eff 20MAY19 1 daily
Reykjavik Keflavik – Zurich One-time service scheduled on 03MAY19
So looks like for the summer Toronto is the only long haul getting the leased 767

Thanks for sharing this. Boston seems to be the other lucky long-haul destination.

We are scheduled for this flight/plane from Boston in June. How bad are the seats? Icelandair is charging extra for row 25 on the right side. I don't see extra leg room in the diagram but they indicate that it is an exit row????

If anyone knows more about this, please respond. Thanks!

BOSton is not scheduled to get the wet leased 767 until September 15 - so if you see a 767 it would be Icelandair's own 76W

In either case row 25 doesn't look like anything special

Well, this is the aircraft From Edward L Logan International terminal E to Keflavik International Departure date:Monday 03 June 2019 23:45 Arrival date:Tuesday 04 June 2019 08:55 Duration:05:10 Airline::Icelandair FI(632) Equipment:Boeing 767-300/300ER

The Exit Rows on this flight are between 9 and 10 and 27 and 28. Configuration is 2-4-2 and coach starts at Row 8.

The return flight is listed as a 76W so I assume that is their own 767-300.

If you can help identify the aircraft and with seating that would be wonderful.

Thanks

2-4-2 makes it the Euro Atlantic wet lease, but I don't see why row 25 would cost you more

That is what has me worried. One agent indicated that it was an exit row but it is not marked that way on the seat map. This is the 3rd aircraft change and I am getting pretty unhappy as I have not idea what to expect for the money that I have spent. Thanks for your help.

According to the Iceland Air Seat Map, there is no row 26 on that side of the plane. I just looked again. I will just have to wait and see.

We got rebooked into row 8, which it looks like is the first row behind business. Is this a knee crushing bulkhead or a seat to keep?

To follow up, things went as expected in this post -- we were indeed on a 757, subbed for a 737MAX for the BER-KEF leg. In case anyone is in exactly our situation, row 7 on that 757 config was great -- the config where there is now left-side row 7 & 8, instead a lav. The row had huge legroom before the last row of Business, and the divider is only a curtain (which they did not even close) so full access underneath those business seats. As seatguru puts it "proximity to the toilets" was a minus, and on balance we probably would go for row 9 over row 7, but it was certainly fine.

On 3 of the 4 of the legs, More Legroom was not heavily booked. No one in the middle seat on the 757 leg, and row behind us totally empty. Outbound BOS-KEF 767 had some free ML seats, and return to BOS hardly any More Legroom were occupied so I took the window pair we had reserved, and my wife stretched a bit in an empty center 3-seat. Our outbound connecting flight out of KEF was apparently full in coach though, so we got bumped up to the virtually empty Saga Class, which was nice!

One oddity -- even at check-in, the web system was going to make me pay the More Legroom fee a second time if we tried to move from our original ML seats to any other ML seats, which is something they ought to fix.

We were booked More Legroom, and they rebooked us to row 7 (the right side) for this 757, which shows as More Legroom. Based on the Seatguru map I was going to move us to row 10, where 10F has no seat in front of it, but the system wanted to charge me a 2nd time for More Legroom. I tried to move myself back to 7F -- and it wanted to charge me to get my assigned seat back! I canceled seat selection so we still have row 7, but obviously that's not terribly impressive on the part of their web system. Oddly, it also showed every single seat on the plane was available to select, as if nobody but the two of us has a seat reservation, which seems... odd

Any opinions on row 7 on that config? Should I bother phoning them to try to switch?

Thanks!
