Reviews of RyanAir and Wizzair?

I love to travel and all but I have always wondered why they're so...cheap?
Are they any good?
How is the service? What is your experience?
And thanks in advance! ^

There is a search facility and plenty of existing discussions about both airlines - whose names are written as Ryanair and Wizz Air, by the way.

I do about 3 or 4 RT's with Wizz every year and think they are fine. Seats a little stiff but planes are clean and almost always on time. Also, they really aren't that cheap.

Both are Low Cost Carriers and there isn't a lot between them really. W!zz has a more upholstered seat, Ryanair is updating its cabins so the look more modern but the seats are quite stiff and don't have seat back pockets. Both airlines are fully buy on board, with a bit more of a push on Ryanair. One thing to note is that W!zz is fairly strict on baggage policy, particularly cabin baggage, whereas Ryanair are slightly more relaxed.

If you have the choice I'd simply go for the cheapest, after you have factored in any baggage charges. W!zz has a frequent flyer fare discount system.

I'd say the biggest difference is bags - W6 charges you for carry-ons, and FR allows the standard 1+1 (better than many non-LCCs)

They charge you for large carry-ons, small are free.
