Absolutely no problem at all. KEF is small, simple and efficient little airport. I transferred there from YYZ to LHR last winter and it was a breeze.

To reiterate everyone else's comments, KEF is a small but overall efficient airport and with the expansion it'll hopefully remain the same with the expected increase in tourism

For me, a 1 hour transfer time at KEF was hardly enough (CPH-KEF-SEA 5/5/16). We deplaned by way of stairs in the 5C cold and wind, then a bus ride, then up another flight of stairs, hurried to passport control, then down another flight of stairs to wait for another bus. There was insufficient time for a restroom break or food. It did look like it could be a cute airport and the staffers were insufferably friendly.
KEF definitely needs more jetways, and personally I will take a layover there rather than be so rushed again with carryon bags and all those stairs. YMMV.

Here's some pictures of a trip from Copenhagen - Reykjavik - Vancouver on Icelandair
All passengers have individual screens. They charge for headphones, so bring your own set.
All screens have USB ports for charging phones. Wifi is available for a charge.
Keflavik is easy to navigate. All flights come in at roughly the same time and leave again within a couple of hours.
BEWARE: Food and drinks are NOT included. They have a full menu with salads, sandwiches, thai curries and more. Three small burgers will cost you 10 EUR
If you read Danish you can find the full test here: Test - Icelandair Economy Classs

Reykjavik Airport - Minimum Connection Time
Hello everyone. I apologize if this is in the wrong forum, but I am hoping some more veteran flyers can help me out. I booked a flight from ORD to CDG this coming Christmas for my fiance and I. We are flying with IcelandAir and have an hour and 5 minutes layover in Reykjavik airport.
From everything I have read, they're fairly quick about turning flights around. Most of the information is a touch older though, so has anyone been through KEF recently? The only reason I am concerned is the 7-day average on flight aware is making our layover much tighter than the hour and 5 minutes on the tickets.
Also, since this was booked as a single ticket, if something happens and we're stuck in Reykjavik, does IcelandAir pay for a hotel? Or should I be purchasing travel insurance? I've never had an overnight delay, so it would be new territory for me.
I appreciate any help anyone can offer!
