LOT: Delayed luggage question
 

Sorry for the OT:

I am flying LHR - TLV via WAW with LOT. My connection in WAW is 1.5 hrs. When arriving in TLV I then have an onward internal flight to ETH which had to be booked separately.

Having not flow LOT before I'm a bit worried about the luggage getting through to TLV. If it doesn't would the airline deliver it to my final destination? (ETH is approximately a 1hr flight from TLV)

I also have travel insurance if this makes any difference to getting my luggage should it be delayed.

What airline operates your flight to ETH?

LOT, as the delivering carrier to the termination point of your ticket, e.g. TLV, will make arrangements to forward the bag to your location. If you were on a single ticket, the onward carrier to ETH would handle.

Thanks for responses. The onward ticket is with ISRAIR. Unfortunately I could not get this on one ticket.

I have 3.5 hours between the LOT flight and ISRAIR flight but if my bags don't arrive with me I doubt I will still be in tel aviv when they do.

As the tickets are on separate PNRs I would have to collect the bags and recheck in for ETH. I'm just wondering what happens if they don't come? How will they get to ETH? Will LOT deliver them?
