Thomson flight diverted after drunk woman attacks cabin crew with her prosthetic leg
Thomson flight 297 from Tunisia to Edinburg had to be diverted to Gatwick after an intoxicated, 48-year-old female passenger removed her prosthetic leg and threw it at the flight attendant who has denied her requests for cigarettes and a parachute.
Once the flight was on the ground at Gatwick, the belligerent was taken into custody. Police officers collected statements from passengers which led to the plane being delayed for an hour.

Ah the holidaymakers airlines!
I am a bit ashamed (:P) to admit that I flew with Jetairfly (horror! No miles! And no status!), and I had forgotten what it's like to travel with not-so-frequent fliers.
Highlights:
- Minute long applause upon landing
- Old man that jumps up from his seat to pick up his hand luggage 34 milliseconds after touchdown (and the flight attendant tackling him back into his seat)
- The amount of garbage produced on a 737 in a 3h flight that rivals one produced on a packed A380 on a 14 hours one
- The lady that insists on wanting to deplane from the back door "because it's closer", nevermind we're docked at a jetway
The flight attendants that work these flights are surely not paid enough to deal with all this!
