So the dude shows up 60min before a FR flight, (ie complete and utter incompetence) and didn't know the M25 moves at snail pace. Now his wife is pissed so he gallantly directs it at FR

Superbly well written and great at conveying the exasperation of dealing with a LCC....

I saw this on Facebook a day or so ago, and thought it was very good.
The thing is, when you get a great fare and it all goes well the LCCs are often excellent, they simply are not geared up to cope with disruption, whether they caused it (or in this case not).
Unfortunately this sort of passing the buck is getting all too common in many areas of customer service and the supervisors and managers don't seem to have the ability to actually rectify a situation, especially where a cost is involved.

each to their own. unless I missed something I thought the letter was downright rude and says more about the authors than the airline.

It is why I never, ever fly Ryanair.....
Turning up that early for a short haul flight should be plenty of time to drop bags off.
Why on earth should you arrive at an airport 3 hrs before the flight?
It is just an excuse because they don't have enough check in desks open.
A great read.

Ryanair is the example that turns many of the CS established wisdom on it's head. The fact is that it has grown exponentially in spite of it's reputation. What it proves is that if people basically get what they expect, then they continue to return. Ryanair seems to purposefully create a set of low expectations and rarely exceed them, but as this is what their customers' expect, few are disappointed. This is clearly working and oddly and perhaps perversely seems better than creating a set of much higher expectations, occasionally failing, and disappointing.
I wonder what answer he gets.

Fun read and sorry for them, although I do agree that I would have left 2 hours before they did for such an important occasion and an FR flight!
