Icelandair as Gold: Fees for Call Centre

I had a relatively complicated itinerary (multi-stop, different classes) that Icelandair's website could not deal with. It directed me to call them. The first agent said I would be charged 50 Euros per person. i kindly declined and called again and was told no such me applied for Gold members. These were Christmas reservations so I went ahead. does anyone know if I should be expecting a fifty euro surprise, or if indeed this does not apply to Gold members. thanks.

I don't have an answer to your question, but as a Saga Gold card holder myself, I'd like to know what happens.

FI does seem to have some unwritten policies in their FF program; hope this is one of them.

Thanks Donna49. I have not been charged on my credit card while my tickets certainly were so I'm assuming Gold members are exempted from this fee.

Another thing I learned is that Gold members get two complimentary stays at any Icelandair hotel during the year without having to pay any miles. We're using it to spend our last night at the Icelandair Hotel in Keflavik, so we can perhaps wake up at 4 instead of 3 in the morning for our flight to Europe !
