Work actions for CSA today

it was reported last week on the local Czech boards that CSA plan to sell all of their ATR's and few Airbus to Czech Holidays CSA.

Speculation began that it could be that CSA plans to sell all assets off to Czech Holidays, leaving CSA only with the debt.

From what is said, technically CSA Holidays is a completely seperate company from CSA and the holding company that owns CSA (and the airport).

Hence why it could be possible to leave CSA with only debt and then leave CSA to go under.

As well, all the pilots and staff have their agreements with CSA, meaning that they would have to negotiate brand new agreements with Holidays.

Reported on the news this morning already 9 cancellations and more to come.

Now in English news this week as well:

Also when you go to the airport website, you get:

And the pilots are fired.....but can be rehired at Czech Holidays.

Note the the comments as well from CSA President : "talks were taking place with a possible strategic investor but refused to give details. In the same interview with Saturday’s edition of the daily Lidové noviny (LN), he said that the existence of a Czech national flag carrier was not important; the main thing was that flights took place out of Prague airport."

What things are seriously going belly up at CSA. Have flight operations been canceled?

[edit]
Prague airport only shows OK codeshares for arrivals/departures. OK must have ceased their operations totally. Must be hell at PRG airport now!

A colleague of mine just got his OK flight next week for BTS-PRG-AMS-PRG-BTS cancelled.

Sounds very much like CSA is going titsup.

http://www.airportbratislava.sk/5/404.html is an interesting statement from the BTS airport. Seems they heard about the cancellation through the newspaper and not from CSA????

BTS-PRG flights were canceled long time ago. Are you sure he's not on direct BTS-AMS? If so, he should be offered VIE-AMS on Austrian.

Yep, CSA didn't informed the airport. Trustworty business partner.

Did they get rid of others as well? In the lounge now and all the staff have airport ID instead of CSA ID.

And no nice pastry anymore

No Pastry's ?? It must be the end

I'm thinking of all those CSA miles I have and how to quickly use them. Sounds like I may not have long

Unsure. We just talked on XMPP for a moment and I did not go into details of his routing but suggested he should ask for a rerouting.

Indeed.
