Do we know what that translates to in real numbers? Looks like the strategy, as you say, is working well.
I wonder how much of that decline is through closing routes eg London, Cologne etc

They sold planes and slashed routes - so I am not surprised. And obviously they (ČSA) only are 30% of PRG traffic (All the rest being equal). I think the seat occupancy amd profitability are more interesting, but article doesn't mention those.

Not sure when they post 1q numbers, but for 2010, loss of 1.1 billion is better than 3.2

However, there is no mention where the numbers come from....ie from one off selling of assets and/or one off savings, or sustained operation changes.

Bad translation of the pax # is at :

And even better, just today, seems Bratislava will be a small second base for CSA:

This I can understand actually.......

it is funny that only now CSA management publicly acknowledge that most of the passengers are using PRG for connections

Maybe I could start flying back with them and not get 9 hour connecting flights from BTS in PRG

It seems they will change something on BTS routes.
In the meantime you can arrive in BTS, through VIE (A*) + bus (1h30) or BUD (OW) + train (3h).

well since mid 2010, I started to fly out vienna, since from BTS there were no options for me as a skyteam preferred flights. However as I was just saying in other thread. For example if you want to make a long-haul out of paris, you have to be on a code share austrian from VIE and that just creates so much boring and inconvenient things, too many....

I can only imagine that...code-sharing between 2 companies from different alliances: it can really be painful..especially if some problem arise
