CSA victim of their own success (and Vietnam Air joining Skyteam)
It occurs to me that every Monday morning the CSA check-in desks in PRG are hopelessly overwhelmed by passengers checking in for the OK534 at 07.20 to FRA, where they connect to Ho Chi Minh city. This is basically the Monday morning commuter counter - lots of 'trained' passengers with carry-ons - that now has to handle the check in for intercontinental flights and passengers with REALLY lots of luggage. As most passengers seem to be carrying too much every check-in is a major negotiation and repackaging point.
Though it must be nice for CSA that flight OK534 has a good load the disruption it causes is not handled very well, having a major ripple effect on all other flights departing around that time, because passengers on other flights who need to check luggage are forced to wait, getting stressed because they think they miss their flights etc.
It would probably help if CSA would set up a few counters with Vietnamese speaking personnel, and very clear communication about luggage rules. As there is a fairly large Vietnamese community in Czech Republic (also explaining the interest for this specific connection), that should be doable.
