Renting a hot hatch in France?

Going in May. Want to rent something like a VW GTI (at least), but my ultimate dream would be an A45 AMG. Do ANY rental agencies in France have them??

In June, my Sixt rental car was a brand new, as in 330 km on the odometer, BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo M Sport. I picked it up at the Paris Vendome Opera location.

Nice! What class did you book? And what was the engine denomination, do you recall? 318i, 320i, etc?

I booked an FDMR. The car that I got was a diesel, a 318d, which I actually preferred since I ended up driving ~ 4,000 km (on only four tanks of diesel fuel). It had tons of torque. The only times that I felt that power was lacking was when overtaking other vehicles on the Autoroutes and Autostrades, and accelerating from 130 km and above.

The car was loaded. It had every conceivable option including navigation, full internet connectivity, Intelligent Parking assistant that enables the car to self park and which I couldn't quite figure out, heads up display with speed limit and road conditions such as closed lanes and road construction, surround view cameras, etc.

Good deal, but I'd like to get my hands on something more entertaining than a 318d. Plus, the GT is uuuugleeeh:D.

The car had such a phenomenal suspension which more than made up for any perceived power shortfalls. In addition, it was very roomy and comfortable with lots of rear seat legroom and a ton of luggage space. It was perfect for our trip.
