Payless Car Rental: Experiences of model options in Compact/ Economy category? Advise
On a compact/ economy category weekly / bi weekly booking rental out off Off-Site SFO lot.
I received a (I think its 2013) Nissan Versa - White - 11.5k Miles. Seems decent.
From some fueleconomy.gov its probably pretty good in terms of Mileage - 31 City / 50 Highway. On the fuel economy list for regular gasoline based vehicles, it's only topped by Toyotas, Hondas and Scions and Ford Fiesta 2014 in terms of mileage
Note: Since I need to do almost daily 25-30 x 2 miles commute for 3-4 weeks for starters it might be good to have a fuel friendly car.
I am guessing daily fuel burn to be 3-4$ x 2 ?? based on gas mileage.
This Versa doesn't have the following, but it would be nice to have if possible since I'm doing long term rental:
- USB Charger
- Car Bluetooth
- Steering Audio controls
What would be other/ better options that I might be able to SWAP and get from PAYLESS in the same or just above category without changing or paying extra?
I am not trying to or want to swindle them or something.. so please lets not get on a moral debate.
What are the EQUIVALENT options in the PAYLESS FLEET?
What could I ask for / request from them?
PS: The driver seat recline is busted and wont adjust so I will have to go in for a swap anyways.

Update:
I read an article that talked about AVIS - Budget buying out Payless and essentially moving their older fleet into Payless.
http://www.foxbusiness.com/industrie...ss-car-rental/
AVIS Fleet:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/avis-...ars-class.html
What cars does PAYLESS have in the Eco/ Compact class (equivalent to Versa) that would have:
- Car Bluetooth (Speaker Phone + Stereo Audio for music) (For hands free driving with Music, Google Maps/ GPS and Phone calls).
- Steering based audio etc Controls
- USB Charger point?

I was able to get a Chevy something that has BT and XM (demo channel). Would a Toyota Corolla be better?
I booked both a Compact & Midsize today. What might be the best FUEL + BLUETOOTH combination I could ask for? I am guessing Midsize > Full range would be askable?
What car options do I have here?

You won't see a significant MPG difference between econo and full size in my opinion. Most cars in these categories are getting 25MPG on freeway (+/- 5 MPG) unless you get a hybrid. Additionally, most cars today already have bluetooth as a feature.
I would suggest doing some research on ride reports in the other rental car forums to find a car that fits your desires and your needs.

Based on this power search on fueleconomy.gov
Which ones do you think might be available from Payless or Avis? For now I have a Chevy Cruze with Bluetooth and USB
