It's great that AI is finally talking standardized timings for their SEAsia flights! It used to be a crap shoot earlier.
Together with very creative scissor/hub ops in SIN/BKK/HKG, AI has a much more compelling story now.
But it seems like AI didn't talk to IC while scheduling their flights. For instance, the new AI standardized timings MAA-SIN-MAA. 3 of the 4 nonstops on the SIN-MAA sector - one each from IC, SQ and now AI depart SIN / arrive MAA within a spread of 40 minutes. SQ has good reason to stick with these times - the others do not.
Maybe AI should get IC to change the schedule of their A320.

And it's a nice, recently-remodeled, low-hassle airport (except that sometimes it takes forever for international luggage to emerge). Wonder of wonders, the domestic and international terminals are next to each other rather than across the runways. This probably violates some kind of fundamental Indian principle. No wonder Air-India avoids CCU.

Recently did a domestic to intl transfer in MAA and believe it or not, they are almost in the same building and not even 3 minutes of walking apart! Even closer than in CCU. Also pretty much ignored by AI.
