Advice on Air China and Guangzhou airport
Hi all,
I've got a bit of a tour of China coming up; starting in Guiyang.
To get there I'm flying into Guangzhou (CAN) on SQ then connecting to Guiyang on Air China. The problem is my transit in CAN is about 7 hours.
Is 7 hours at CAN airport something to look forward to or not?
If I was to fly first/business class from CAN to Guiyang is there an Air China lounge that I could use to get some sleep in? I will have been travelling for about 16 hours before getting to Guangzhou so a lounge would be an attractive sight!
After Guiyang the adventure continues on China Southern and China Eastern to Nanjing, Beijing and Fuzhou......
Thanks for any advice or hints anyone can offer on Chinese domestic airlines!

Old Thread Similar Q: Guangzhou Lounges
Parents traveling Y return portion DEL to YVR on CZ, with a 7+ hour layover in CAN. No Status. No CCs that allow entry into lounges in general. Is there a lounge where they can buy access? Flt arrives 7am, departs 2pm. Thanx

To the best of my knowledge, Air China doesn't seem to have its own private VIP lounge at the brand new Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, but I'm pretty sure teddor could spend a few hours inside Air China's contracted VIP lounge.
Just ask at the domestic check-in desk, teddor.
Best Regards.
