Would Hainan (HU) survive COVID-19 and government will let it grow (again)?
I saw another blog saying Hainan Air (HNA holdings) is owned now by Hainan local government. It's future still unknown.
While China's biggest government owned company, CITIC group (Banking as core but owned whole variety of business) unsuccessfully tried take over but failed because of price.
All of other airlines from China have grim look on their future with ever increasing US-China conflict, where are HU lining up for their future?

Over at View From the Wing they are reporting that 10 billion USD has been embezzled from the holding company by "various shareholders." Sure, the Chinese or Hainan governments can keep the airline going as a zombie company, but will they? And what about Hainan's good reputation for food, service and hard product. Hard to imagine that these will remain intact.
