Need to cancel AirAsia and Vietjet flights help

OK AirAsia and Vietjet flying veterans. I booked flights from Thailand to Vietnam and back next month via Air Asia and an internal flight in Vietnam via Vietjet. I’m canceling my trip and I understand that I won’t get a refund, but is there a way to cancel it online or do I and my two flying partners just not show up? I can’t seem to find a way to cancel it. Chat with AVA didn’t help.

For AirAisa you can use their online chat https://support.airasia.com/s/articl...language=en_GB If you are subject to restrictions it does work. If not then Twitter also works but takes a little time.

For Vietjet search Google for their email address and send them the information. Social Media does not work,

AirAsia is a big fail at the moment. AVA their Revolut inspire crap bot will generate multiple cases, these will linger, and then be closed. The social media team I think are just updating the cases as they seems to reask for the same information days apart.

If your not after a refund then you don't have to waste time cancelling... airasia couldn't care less about noshows.

This is not 100% true. Even if you no show/cancel, the unused taxes still belong to you and should be refunded. Of course on a domestic flight, it is marginal but on some international flights, it can actually be a big part of the price of your ticket.

@blandy62 it sounds like the OP is a panicing about not registering his cancellation, like the checkin staff will be stressing about two no-shows as he does say "I know I won't get a refund"

With the tax refunds on Airasia have a admin charge and then they go into a credit account. It's not worth the 18 hours of back and forth to deal with them on it.

Not sure about the admin charge, but they refund it to you on the credit card use. I canceled/no show a few flight with them and I always got the tax refunded by applying online. last one was in january

Can you get a refund to the original form of payment of Viet Jet Thailand SkyBoss fares or just a future credit?
Does Air Asia Thailand offer a fare that allows refunds to the original form of payment?

I know Thai Smile allows refunds less a THB 500 penalty if done at least 4 hours prior to departure.
