New plane for IE - Solomon Airlines - in 2020

Solomon airlines has been flying its A320 since 2011. Originally delivered to Canadian Airlines in 1992, it's certainly old. Though Air Canada, Delta and Lufthansa fly older examples.

The latest in flight magazine announces a replacement in 2020.

As a somewhat regular on board I'm pleased with the news. The current plane has lots of small items that need repair such as dodgy tray tables and lighting. The one thing I hope is kept is the generous legroom and old style thicker seats that are comfy.

The new plane will join the fleet of three Twin Otters and a Dash 8 100 dating from 1991. Apparently all these planes will receive interior refreshes and new windows (you can barely see out of the Twin Otters so badly scratched are the windows).
