Air China online check-in from London
 

Air China's London routes don't get much coverage on here, so hopefully this might save someone else the phone call... I travelled LHR-PEK last month on CA, and online check-in worked fine. I was therefore a bit concerned when I tried to check in for tomorrow's LHR-CTU (Chengdu), and got the message "-300101:Rules for restricted flights and routes are not satisfied or the check-in time is not in the permitted check-in time."

After confirming that London Heathrow is indeed still on the list of Air China destinations supporting online check-in, I tried their European call centre (who speak great English), and they reassured me that the LHR-CTU route does not support online check-in after all.

Don't ask why, but there it is, for next time someone googles it! :)
