baggage confusion

Hello everybody, I am trying to book tickets from Korea to Canada via Air China. The route is Incheon (ICN)-Beijing(PEK)-Montreal(YUL). What is confusing me is the baggage allowance. The etickets says 2 pieces of luggages. Does it mean 2 pieces of checked baggage or 1 piece of checked and another carryon? I tried calling their customer care service mutiple time but its always busy
So, I am kindly asking flyers who had similar route to help me get the information. I will be very grateful.

Probably refers to checked bags
Checked in Baggage
Carry-on Baggage

North America is on the piece system and CA has always stuck to the original 2pc (checked) per passenger rule. They are also not very picky about carry on bags, but be forewarned if you're never flown Korea to China before, the overhead bins will be packed completely full of rice cookers and other duty free. Board as early as you can to secure space for your own.
