Air China First Class - blocked seats?
Flew CA932 the other day in J. The FAs let me use the F class lavatory mid-flight, and I noticed there was only 1 passenger seated in First, despite the load showing 7 seats were taken up until an hour or so before boarding (I was monitoring the load from a few weeks prior to the flight, and it remained F1 throughout that whole time).
This left me wondering - does Air China block out F seats for pilots/crew? Did one passenger book out the whole cabin? Or just 6 last-minute no shows?
Struck me as a bit odd..

The pilots on most AC flights that I am on put on a nondescript dark blue jacket above their uniform shirt and sit wherever - often in economy. I have seen them take a seat in business but so far not in first.
I am curious of how you go about getting upgrades from them. Are you Phoenix Miles? I am Turkish Elite and get nothing ever from Air China.

I don't believe AC offers first class.
