Batik Air Business Class CGK-LBJ Trip Report
 

I needed to fly from CGK to LBJ to head to Komodo Island for the beginning of a 30-day vacation to Indonesia and came across Batik Air on Google flights.

I was able to get this 2.5hr flight in Business Class for only (US)$170.

After a lovely journey over from LAX in J on AA into HKG and PE (OpUpped) in CX I was ready to give this airline a try.

I checked in and the regular lines were soooo long; the Business Class line, however, was only 1 couple deep. lol

Check in was easy at their new Terminal (they moved last month to T2) and they directed me to Gate E7, which they have converted to their FC Lounge. It offered water, coffee, and had some hot food. I tried a little of everything and it wasn't all that great.

Their system for announcing gates is terrible. They constantly bombard you over a very loud speaker over and over and over. It got so annoying that I actually put my headphones on.

So I got onboard and found what is in essence a domestic First Class cabin. There were no PDBs and there were only 4 of us in FC.

Seats were fine.

After we took off they offered a hot towel and then a beverage and some food. I had a choice between chicken or an omelette. I chose the chicken not expecting much. I must say that it was actually quite delicious and I was surprised!!

Unfortunately I did not look through their AVOD screen but they did offer some type of over-the-ear branded headphones to us in Business Class.

All in all I am happy with the $170 price I paid. The crew was fantastic, no delays, and a great value.

Batik J is value of money. Nice to hear that you had a decent flight with them.

Thanks for the current sate of affairs. I know there is a LionAir/Thai LionAir/Batik Air connection but how is Malindo being absorbed?

Didn't experience anything as bad as you and other posters flying DMK-KUL in the back twice and KUL-HKG in the front cabin. Have KUL-DMK-KUL booked up front ~MYR 750 r/t ain't too shabby.
