Vietnam Air

I’ve just booked some Vietnamese Air flights SGN-DAD-HAN-DAD. 3 flights each a week, were booked on VN apart because they were cheaper than the low costs, and included 1 bag.

Does anyone know how strict they are with CarryOn because I will have a backpack that fits in overhead, but will be heavier than the 7kg they supposedly allow.

Shouldn't be a problem. i've flown them a number of time to ICN or NRT and never even knew there is a limit. My carryon is certainly more than 7 kg

Just flew them on Friday with a carryon weighing 12kg, no problem. The more annoying thing was that they won't check luggage through on connecting flights. You have to pick it up and re-check.

After close to 20 domestic Vietnam Airlines flights I've never had a carry-on weighed at check-in or the gate.

Another question though...
My PNR numbers cannot be read by on the VN website with their manage my booking facility as they don’t have my email address linked to them.

Bery strange system requirement...
1. PNR No.
2. Surname
3. Email address

I know all the details... but VN do not! They don’t know my email address, and I can’t find a way to access this as a result.
