Friend recently flew China Southern to LHR. On arrival their baggage did not arrive - was delivered ~30hours later. Claiming compensation and CZ have offered GBP70 which seems pretty low - any thoughts?
Passenger flew Business and had meetings straight off plane and the next day, so needed to purchase items.

If your friend had to spend more than 70 GBP out of pocket (for the purchases as well as related expenses such as taxis to/from stores) I think there's definitely a case for more money.

Do remember to claim from your travel insurance as well.

Travel insurance excess (and process) makes it not so worthwhile for them.
