Question QQ: Lounge in AKL on TN Flight

Hi guys,

Quick question: Is there any alliance card that I can use to get into the lounge in AKL when flying TN (Air Tahiti Nui) to PPT in Economy?
Is SkyTeam gold ok?

Thanks!

Mihai

TN is not part of any alliance and only offers lounge access to business class pax. Skyteam gold will get you nowhere.

They use the Qantas lounge in Auckland, and it has been suggested that if you booked the flight on a Qantas codeshare, and were a Qantas status passenger that you might get access, but it seems to be a grey area

Thanks @ajeleonard ! I'm *A Gold and I'm flying NZ codeshare, but it seems it will not work. I was thinking Skyteam gold might work beacause of being French

Strata lounge is run by AKL airport and offers pay per use (cheaper if pre-paid online).

That is your only lounge option at AKL (NZ lounge isn't available because it is not *A-operated flight).

Thanks for the responses! I'm inclined to follow @Kiwi Flyer 's advice. @henrus , I am booked through NZ (got an NZ PNR), but AKL-PPT is operated by TN. You sure I can get lounge as *A gold through LH?

No you won't get lounge access being a *A gold... Only NZ Gold card holders will get access to the NZ lounge and again only when booked on an NZ flight number.
