Purchase extra seat just for luggage on Air Asia

I am moving to Thailand from Indonesia. Mathwise the cheapest way for me to move my stuff (lets say 80kg) would be to book two seats and supersize the luggage in each seat (40kg per seat).

Is this possible? The excess luggage fees are very high otherwise and would be twice the cost of booking two seats.

You may have to ask Air Asia on that one.

Does AirAsia allow obese passengers to purchase extra seats for themselves?

How do I book an extra seat?
To book an extra seat, you would need to go online and make a booking for two. At the guests details page, please enter details as per your passport. However, for the second guest, you should enter "EXTRA" in the first name field and "SEAT" in the Last Name field with the rest of the details to mirror your passport.

IMPORTANT: Please note that guest who purchased an EXTRA SEAT must also purchase Pick A Seat to ensure seats are adjacent to each other. You are not allowed to pre-book meals, check-in baggage or any other add-on's for the EXTRA SEAT. Also, there is no cabin baggage allowance allocated for the EXTRA SEAT.

Yes they do. You have the option for that during your online purchase via their website.
