Any latest news when Sri Lankan Airlines will join one world?

Im flying them in three weeks time - had been hoping that they would have linked up with Avios by now so I could collect miles there rather than having them orphaned in UL's own programme but it looks like I am out of luck!

I fly them in April 2014. Hope I can credit the miles then either to BA or QR.

But I have an issue to find a seat map of their A340 with the new busines class. Checked the web, even their own website is not updated.

Cannot find anything. :confused:

Somebody out there can help?

Dunno if it's of any use. Generally looking at their website it's going to be a while before their IT is up to the standards of the rest of the alliance.

I checked these and other sides before. The new layout is nowhere to find.

The 340 has three rows in a 2-2-2 configuration. Seat has a massage feature, not that impressive, but soothing on a night flight. I personally take 1D centre pair aisle. The window and aisle pair in all 3 rows make getting to the bathroom from the window seat a little challenge if the aisle seat is in its bed position.

I use the flight frequently on the short hop DXB to CMB, but would imagine it could be an issue on real long haul flight.

Have been told it will be April 2014 when UL join oneworld. Also that they will introduce a new Platinum Tier, to give a tier equal to the top tier of oneworld.

You don't have to credit them to UL's program. I credited to Etihad's instead.

During this weekend UL moved to Amadeus. Existing bookings got new PNRs.

Also some time changes occurred. My flight next April will arrive at 06h30 instead of 08h15 at FRA. My brother who is going to pick me up Sunday morning will be delighted. :mad:

The website got an upgrade too. Now all the detailed seat maps are online. ^

I'm planning to fly Sri Lankan in March . Don't think they'll be part of One World by then or I would have got miles credited to my QR account. As an altetnate What other FFP I can get miles credited to other that Etihad?

I used to be an active Hilton Honors member but not any more
my preferred hotel program is IHG now which I won't mind transferring miles to. any idea about conversion ratio if I transfer to IHG PC? is it even possible?
