I'm proud to kick off this forum with the first thread here being also MY first new thread......

I'll nominate SCOOT.
New planes, good prices, cheap 'premium' seats, fairly punctual.

AirAsiaX seems to have a "following" in Australia.

How about a sticky with a name and home base of the active LCCs?

Happy wandering

Air Asia for me. I see them getting knocked in so many forums it is ridiculous, and there seems to be a pattern of folks complaining about add-ons who seem completely unable to navigate their booking system.
Honestly it is not rocket surgery - it is not that hard to make a booking.

Aside from that, they are generally reliable, the service is fine, and hotseats make the whole experience worthwhile. And yes, the cabin staff are very *ahem* aesthetically pleasing.

I travel with them most months, and to various parts of SE Asia, and the cost is usually far better than their competitors.

Only ever had a generally good experience with JetStar, what some folks label the "dreaded DeathStar".

Flown them many times over the years, albeit primarily domestic within Australia with just the one international flight to ZQN. Had some pretty smooth landings too. For cheapo tickets, I'm still a happy customer.

Then again, never had to cancel a flight with them yet.

I have traveled on Airasia and Jetstar. Both LCC were fine and on time.
