Chinese frequent flyer credit cards

Hi, this may be a longshot, but does anyone here know any good deals on Chinese credit cards that offer frequent flyer miles for purchases (or better yet, signup bonuses)?

My family lives in China most of the year and most of our purchases are cash because the places we shop don't accept foreign credit cards (at least without outrageous fees). I'd love to be earning some frequent flyer points on a Chinese airline when we go to the supermarket or buy plane tickets on Ctrip.

Most seem to offer 1 point (a mile or a km?) for 14-15 RMB in purchases. Not as good as any US credit cards, but I'll take what I can get: http://www.easternmiles.com/uk/partn...g/lianming.jsp

Thanks,
Kevin

There's no point in playing that game over here. Don't even bother.

Thanks Moondog. But if I'm limited to paying either my debit card, cash or a Chinese credit card at the grocery store or on Ctrip, wouldn't it make sense to get some sort of return on those purchases, since I can't use my US-based points-earning credit card (and ctrip charges something like 3% to use a foreign credit card), even it it's at a rate of 1 point per 15 RMB? Seems like something is better than nothing.

Chinese frequent flyer credit cards

Sure it would (IMHO).

I don't have experience from China, but I have had good use of mile earning cc's from Korea and Thailand for everyday purchases. Zero signup bonuses though.

Every mile counts etc :-)

But 1 mile per 15 RMB is pretty low still. In Thailand I get 1 mile per 3.8 RMB (20 THB).

I'd go for it!

Of course, it's better than nothing. However, the frequent flyer programs of Chinese airlines are also an important point to consider (miles expire and other cons).
I recommend to check outside frequent flyer program linked cards, too. Ctrip has a co-branded credit card, so does Carrefour and many, many others.
In regards to banks, I'm very happy with Ping'an and also their VIP program.
