Philippine Airlines: 6 new routes to Asia/Aus/ME

PR just announced flights to KL (4x weekly), Guangzhou (5x weekly), Abu Dhabi (7x weekly), and 3 new Australian routes - Perth (4x weekly), Darwin (7x weekly), Brisbane (3x weekly).

MNL-KUL is a long time coming - since there is a fairly large Filipino population in KL, and most of the 4-daily MH flights have good loads every time I fly the route. MH and PR currently codeshares on this route. Objectively speaking, PR's A320 Y and J seats are a bit more comfortable than MH's B738 - both new and leased - which are rock-hard and feels less spacious. MH has better service and food though.

Daily flights to DRW on A320, then onwards to BNE 3x weekly and PER 4x weekly. If I remember correctly, PR used to fly MNL-BNE during the 90s/early-2000s - so it's great to see them returning there! I'm surprised with PER and DRW though...

So far, the expansion by the new management seems to be going nice and steady...
