Tsunami

A close friend is expecting to travel to the Philippines, around Manila area, but I see in the news that there is a Tsunami warning.

The trip is not until next week, I wonder if anyone is able to comment if it is safe to go now, or at least is it likely to be so by Tuesday next week?

The tsunami warning only covers the eastern half of the Philippines (eastern Luzon, Samar, Leyte, eastern Mindanao and all the other islands in between), according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS). Manila is on the western side of Luzon, so it should be safe to travel here.
