USG/Military Travel Upgrades CD-334
 

Hi Guys -

Anyone in the USG or military been able to successfully obtain an upgrade? I'm talking about the CD-334, “Request for Approval of Other Than Coach-Class Accommodations”. The form is a beast and my upcoming mission is a 34-hour blast in the coupon-waving trash section of Delta.Info on the upgrade requests and the "14 hour rule": For upgrade requests due to travel times of 14 hours or more, the travel authorization must be accompanied with a chart listing flight times for each requested segment to verify a total of 14 hours or more. The travel authorization in this case must also state that the traveler is required to report for duty the following day or sooner, and cannot depart earlier for official reasons. Upgrades on the return flight to the traveler’s official duty station will be only approved in very rare situations (usually involving medical need).
