Takeoff360 New, Upgraded Empty Leg App

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Takeoff360, the mobile app that connects consumers with private jet charters around the globe in just a few taps, has been significantly updated in a move designed to make private jet charters more accessible to a broader clientele. Founder and CEO Robert Basha explains: "One out of three private jets do not have any passengers onboard. The industry term is referred to as an empty leg or repositioning flight. Not only is this a big waste of fuel and money but the carbon footprint to our environment is beyond staggering. Making these one-way legs available to consumers at lower prices helps address a major inefficiency in the air charter industry and is a win-win for all."

Takeoff360 curates thousands of available empty legs or "one way deals" and displays several hundred of them targeted towards popular routes worldwide. "Although there are many hundreds more, we don't want to overwhelm users," says Basha. "We are focusing on some of the more popular routes and others will follow shortly."

While empty leg deals themselves are not new to the industry, Takeoff360 aims to make them more accessible to a broader swath of consumers. The price tag of an empty leg deal may be discounted by up to 60% of a regular flight. In addition, the entire selection and booking process can be completed in just a few taps on Takeoff360's mobile app, including payment via credit card or Apple Pay. The app provides photos of the jet, lists amenities, provides the aircraft's safety certifications, insurance coverages and more, so consumers can make choices based on their preferences. Mobile features, like push notification, alerts users when deals become available on their favorite routes. The company is already seeing major interest, having successfully transacted one-way flights both in the USA and abroad.
Has anyone used them?

Anything offering you an instant "book now" price on an app is either (1) never going to be available or (2) insanely inflated. There are way too many variables in play for there to ever be a realistic "book now" private jet app. Go look at JetSmarter's "Instant Book" price for a weekend round trip from Dallas to Los Angeles. The price is $103k on a heavy cabin jet. I could get you a heavy cabin jet for $35k - $40k all in for that routing.
