JetSmarter is a membership program that allows members to fly on empty legs of private jets (JetDeals) and seats on scheduled private jet shuttles (JetShuttle).

This has been happening recently? At least in the US, flight confirmations have been coming much earlier than they were before... at least 12-18 hours out, when before it was 5. Not good that they've moved that back in Europe.
I sort of wonder what the providers think about JetSmarter. Enough of them have left the empty leg program (e.g. DPJ in the US, Air Hamburg in Europe) that it can't be a phenomenally amazing deal. And interestingly, most of their own shuttle providers don't provide empty legs from their other charter business, which strikes me as odd.

That's a good point ! Maybe they're trying to negotiate empty leg prices too much.
Last year JetDeals were really exciting in Europe, Paris-Moscow in Legacy 650, London - Rome in Legacy 600,.. You can see that now JetDeals in Europe are now super limited.. I'm sure that at least 30-40% of actual members won't renew. I'm still hesitating for my part, it's a great value for sure, but the membership comes with big deceptions too.

Yes... And because of that it's really hard to plan anything (I invited many times some friends and +/-6 hours before the flight, my aviation specialist told me that the flight was cancelled by the operator. I was really in a awkward position. Invoice accepted but flight not confirmed - I thought that the invoice meant that the flight was confirmed but it wasn't..)
I'm pretty sure that when the invoice is confirmed by you, and payment is received ( if any ), they are obligated to provide transportation. Maybe the rules are different over there, but that's what the law says here.
That sucks as an experience though; I wouldn't blame you for thinking about cancelling.

One has to wonder if things are on the way out at JetSmarter? London-Dubai cancelled, London-Istanbul cancelled (no shuttles in Turkey scheduled beyond June 9), Hamptons helicopter shuttles cancelled this season, several empty leg carriers pulling out. Wish the company were more transparent with the changes.

That happened to me all the time last year (2016) in the US, to the point where I was strongly considering cancelling. The number of disclaimers I had to offer my friends was huge. From 2017 onward, I've had only one unrecovered cancellation. More reliable than United. :-P

Yes it's really frustrating..

Also no longer accepting American Express. Talk about a luxury service. They're really diving into the sofa cushions for change at this point.
