Randy, IB has screwed this thing up big time. We all voiced concerns about IB taking over and it seems that those concerns have been realized. FT is quickly becoming unusable.
Can you consider buying back FT? Thanks.

IMHO, for Randy to buy back FT for any reason other than to make a good profit on the deal he would have to be bananas.

Randy, everyone voiced concerns over the sale and you told everyone to have faith and that you would be "involved" even after you sold it. Can you get a little bit more involved if you don't buy back the asset?

Besides the IT-related problems, what are the other problems that need fixing?

And I just noticed my signature has morphed to one I set up back in early January. Jeez.

Technology, like indoor plumbing, is only noticed when it isn't working but other than a few foibles, unexpected though brief downtimes and a hit & miss FT search I couldn't call it an outright disaster. More like a bad car that's rolled off the production line than an outright lemon, at least IMHO.
The whole open OMNI debacle is/was more of a concern to me for the way it was handled than the tech issues, but YMMV.

You seem very passionate about it. Why don't you pool together and buy it yourself.
I applaud Randy for selling it, and would have done the same. And I'd guess that most other FTers would have too if they were in the same shoes.
Speaking of shoes. We have a saying in Canada. If you don't see eye to eye with someone, walk a mile in their shoes. If, after that, you still don't agree...
...at least you're a mile away from them
AND YOU HAVE THEIR SHOES TOO!

I sent the main IB dude a PM but never received a response. You know, the guy that had all the fireside chats with Randy prior to the sale.

As a practical matter, IB is a solidly profitable company whose stock hasn't been hurt nearly as much as many others in the current downturn. The chance of any reasonable deal being possible just now is remote unless FT is the one bad financial apple in the barrel, which I would tend to doubt.
