Attacks / Sarcasm from "veteran" posters
Hi Randy,
A recurring theme on these boards seems to be attacks on those who are asking legitimate questions. Frequently, posters are ridiculed or attacked by veteran posters who decry that questions have been asked before, etc. While I'm sure everyone understands the "search" function, I find it very difficult to perform searches, especially more obscure matters as the search engine seems to be extremely powerful and pulls up pages and pages of totally non-related threads. I find it unacceptable that members and new posters be attacked simply for asking a legimate question. For example, IceTrojan especially seems to do this with alarming frequency - instead of simply responding to a question, he will type statements such as "This has been discussed before - *rolls eyes" or something similar. Remarks such as these are totally unconstructive, a waste of space and make new members feel unwelcome to the forum. Instead of unconstructive and sarcastic remarks such as these, why not simply be gracious and answer a question directly? Just food for thought. |
